This is a time mechanical fuse used to initiate HE, illuminating and smoke shell. The fuse is easily setable by the soldier and is equipt with all safeties required in handling, transportation and storage.Time function setting is upto 80 sec. with a interval of 0.5 sec.

The Fuze is used in shoulder fire recoilless Infantry Ammunition and provides air burst capability to the 84 mm HE Shell. The Fuze is easy to handle and set, time being set by hand without help of any external tool. It actuates firing of ammunition at predetermined time as also ensures safety during handling, transportation and storage. 1200 m of range of ammunition can be set at intervals of 10 m. The safeties are operated in various manifests by set back and centrifugal forces.

Fuze 162 MK-8 is a very simple designed Mortar Bomb Fuze which functions in the mode of direct action. The Fuze is used in 81 mm and 120 mm Bombs fired from smooth bore mortars. Ease of action and reliability of Fuze has made it acceptable to ammunitions of various Armies. The Fuze provides safety during firing and transportation as well as storage of ammunition.

The Fuze is in use with the Mortar Bomb for 51 mm HE Ammunition. Simple and robust in design, the Fuze is mainly made of Aluminium Alloy parts leading to reduction in mass to suite ammunition dynamics. Armed by set back force, the Fuze initiates the Bomb to explode at target in direct action mode.

The Brass Fuze is in use with 105 mm IFG HE Shells. The Fuze functions in direct action mode after impact at the terminal end. The safety of striker is released by set back and centrifugal forces. 105 mm HE Shell having range of 18 to 20 km is used in Anti-personnel role. The Fuze provides safety to ammunition during handling, transportation and storage.
